Break Thru Starts Here
In 2 Samuel 5, David has just been anointed king over Israel—and almost immediately, the Philistines rise up against him. Surrounded and under pressure, David runs to his stronghold and seeks the Lord. Instead of reacting out of fear, he pauses to pray and ask God what to do.
God responds clearly: go and fight.
David obeys, and God brings a powerful victory. In 2 Samuel 5:20, David declares, “The Lord has broken through my enemies before me like a breaking flood.” God didn’t just help—He broke through.
That same God is still at work today.
We believe God wants to bring breakthrough in your life and in your family. He makes a way where there seems to be no way, and as a church, we are praying and believing for that kind of movement in 2026. But we’re not stopping at prayer alone—we’re stepping forward in faith with intentional action.
Our Break Thru Strategy for 2026
We’ve created a pathway designed to help every individual and family experience spiritual growth and breakthrough:
- KC Groups (Winter/Spring & Summer): Build community, grow in your faith, and stay connected all year long.
- Youth Camp Scholarships: Every child and teen who wants to attend camp this summer will have the opportunity. We believe God will meet them in a life-changing way.
- KC Family Nights (June–August): Fun, fellowship, worship, and a powerful message—designed for the whole family to encounter God together.
This summer, we are believing for strongholds to be broken and lives to be transformed.
Celebrate the Break Thru
We’ll close out the summer with a special celebration service and baptism at Sandbridge Beach (Little Island Park). This will be a powerful time to reflect on all God has done and to celebrate those taking the next step in their faith through water baptism.
It’s going to be an incredible summer!!!

Where are Family Nights held?
Family Nights are held on the church grounds at Kempsville Church.
Do I need to bring anything?
Yes! Please bring a lawn chair or camping chair so you can relax and enjoy the evening.
Is there a theme?
Yes! Each Family Night has a fun theme. We encourage everyone to wear attire that matches the night's theme and join in the fun!
What should I wear?
Dress comfortably and be sure to wear clothing that fits the evening's theme. Theme details will be shared before each event.
Is there a cost to attend?
No! KC BreakThru Family Nights are free for everyone.
Can I invite friends and family?
Absolutely! These nights are a great opportunity to invite your neighbors, coworkers, friends, and family to experience the community at KC.
Will there be activities for kids?
Yes! There will be activities the whole family can enjoy together, including opportunities for children to have fun in a safe environment.
What happens if it rains?
If weather affects our plans, we'll communicate any schedule changes through our website and social media channels.
